I became curious about real estate at a young age, thanks to a project of my parents. When I was a child, they made the surprising decision to totally transform our home, later purchasing land to build a brand new one.

It was clear that they worked wonderfully in partnership—my mother with the vision and my father with the methods—and this gave me an insight into both the importance of a home and the hard work that goes into finding one. It also taught me a lot about teamwork!

Given my early interest in the topic, it’s perhaps unsurprising that I eventually became part of our family's real estate business. For this, I’m especially indebted to my mother, who has been my mentor and my most trusted advisor throughout my career.

Working alongside her, as I have since 2010, is truly its own reward. Because we’re both guided by the same values and fundamental motivation, we’re able to collaborate very successfully.

I have gone from assisting my mother with marketing when my children were very young to becoming a fully licensed real estate agent in MD, PA, and WV, specializing in the MD and PA markets. Now I work alongside her, shoulder to shoulder.

I haven’t always been in this industry, however. I actually trained in Early Education, and I formerly worked as a Childcare Assistant Director as well as in the restaurant business and in cosmetics.

To me, the common thread throughout my diverse career has been the importance of serving people, understanding their needs, and finding ways to promote happiness.

What I love about my job is watching people experience joy and excitement as they navigate the different chapters of their lives. It’s a privilege to be involved in these milestone moments.

The trusting relationship that I build with my clients means that I share in their joy when we find the perfect place for them. This aspect of my work is incredibly rewarding.

I consider myself very blessed with regards to my location, as I get to live and sell real estate in a market and climate that offers all four seasons. I can certainly see why people are attracted to settle in this beautiful part of the world with all of its natural diversity.

With gratitude, I can share that my blessings have also extended to my personal life: I’m currently engaged to my childhood friend, and we each bring two beautiful children to our relationship.

In my free time, I love to bring our blended family together for kayaking fun and nights spent around a blazing bonfire.

Success, for me, is something to be shared with those you care about. I also firmly believe in giving back to people in their moment of need.

As a dedicated servant to my community, some of my proudest achievements include being recognized as a cultural ambassador for our Keller Williams market center in 2017, serving with Ground Hero to assist with the flood restoration in southern West Virginia in 2016, and being named the West Virginia Board of Education Volunteer of the Year in 2006.

When it comes to my own personal motivation, I am guided by the principle of grace. I strongly believe in Romas 5:20-21: that grace wins every time. To me, that means I am who I am today because of God's grace, and that people often need to be loved the most when they deserve it the least.

As you can probably tell, family and faith are my deepest sources of inspiration, and in fact, the name Pinnacle Home Team is based on a reference to my childhood church camp, where my mother regularly volunteered.

At this camp, we’d hike each summer to a pinnacle rock with a cross on top. The impactful memory of this cross continues to promote feelings of peace, comfort, and confidence, which are qualities my mother and I strive to embody in our work.

My passion for real estate finally came full circle when I decided to rehab my own house, just as my parents had done when I was young. With a little help from my family and friends, I turned a foreclosure into my dream home, and this experience motivates me to help others find theirs.

Matching people with places they can grow and feel great in is definitely the most magical part of what I do. It’s what drives me to persist, overcoming any challenges I encounter on my way.
